Paris! SO many pictures!

The first museum we went to was the Louvre. It was massive! We spent about 3 hours there. Ashlyn loved it for about 30 minutes. LOL! She was a good sport though, and luckily we took a tablet for her to play in if she got too bored. I liked the Louvre but enjoy more modern art.

Eiffel Tower. Lots of places to see the tower from. We did a river tour at night where we saw it light up. So cool! We went to the top to see the views. It’s a pretty amazing structure.

The butt game. When Ashlyn started to get bored with all the museums, I told her to take a pictures of all the butts she could find. Our favorite is either the little gold baby butt or the one with the tail.

We spent a good amount of time on the Metro. It was kind of fun. Shaye was our navigator because our GPS didn’t work very well there. She was amazing, I would have got us lost. It was a complicated system to try to navigate.

The architecture was amazing! I was in awe of all the buildings. They were so old and cool!

French food is yummy, and beautiful. Ashlyn lived on chocolate croissants, pizza and Fanta when we were there. The food was definitely a high light for me.

We visited a chapel with the New Testament on stained glass. It was gorgeous!

Ashlyn got a beret to look like and official French girl. 🙂 She’s pretty cute.

We also did a bus tour. The bus was empty on top because it was raining, We had the few seats in the front that were mostly covered.

I loved going with Kay because she was so adventurous with the food. She wanted to try new things all the time. About half the time it didn’t turn out so well. She got a hot dog on a baguette and the baguette was super hard and the sauce was a mustard horse radish sauce. Yuck!

We went to the Arch of Triumph and The Palace at Versailles. Both very cool!

We had a funky modern hotel. It was video game themed. PacMan on the ceiling and walls and all kinds of random cartoons on a wall in the play room. Free arcade in the lobby. Would have been fun to have all the family there.

Just some cool pics of the city. It is a pretty city.

This and That

The girls went to a neighbor’s birthday party at the rock climbing gym and had a great time.

Dallin has been doing track, and this is a picture of his relay team.
The kids had spring break not too long ago, and I gave them a bingo card with activities on it. They played games, did extra chores, made recipes, did crafts, read books, all kinds of things.
These pics are of them doing a craft with the neighbor kids and playing games with cousins. Once they got a bingo they got a piece of candy. With a blackout we went out to dinner as a family. It was a great idea, if I may say so myself. Kept them nice and busy. 🙂

Game night

All the Spence’s were in town for Taylor’s baptism. We got together for dinner and games after. It is fun that the kids are getting older and joining in the games. It’s always good to see everyone. Steve and Connie came too and stayed at our house.

Project

Our patio furniture that we bought a couple years ago faded really bad, so I decided to recover them. I like how they turned out. Hopefully they won’t fade as bad because that was hard work! Coming projects are to do something with that ugly retaining wall you see behind the chair. Still deciding what to do, maybe veneers and a flower bed. Also a play house for the back corner of the yard.

Maybe something like this??

We got plans for a play house like this.

Disney Trip

We went on a Spence brothers and wives trip last month. It was so fun to go without kids! We got to eat all the yummy food we skipped out on because we didn’t want to buy it for 6 people. I went on all the rides I had skipped because I stayed back with Amber or Ashlyn who were too scared. It was so fun! We walked about 20,000 steps each day-that is about 10 miles! Made me feel better about the treats. 🙂

Christmas

We spent the morning just us opening presents and then got together with my family for lunch and a white elephant exchange. Then we got together with Nate’s brother for dinner. It was a fun family filled day.

My sister Kris wrapped my presents. It was almost too pretty to open.

Amber got a makeup set and has been learning how to put it on. Eye make up sure makes her eye’s pop! She gave Young Sook a makeover too.

Tanner got a finger scooter, that he has been trying to master tricks on.

We did graham cracker houses earlier this month. It’s always fun to see what they come up with.

Christmas Parties

We had a pajama party at church and played some minute to win it games. This was one of them.

Ashlyn threw a party for her friends. They decorated cookies, did a white elephant and watched a movie.

Christmas Eve we did a progressive dinner with my family. These were at the end where we learned about the symbols of Christmas and we played with chimes.

Choir & Brownie

Tanner is in choir and had a choir concert. There are only a few boys in the choir. I am so glad I have a kid interested in music!

Brownie has been staying outside more these days because he has started spraying around the house when he. Stinker! He is going to get fixed next month, we are hoping that will end that. If he weren’t so cute we’d get rid of him.
